I've looked very closely at the new 7000 series CPU's. These things are amazing to say the least. I've also noticed that some PCIe 5 Intel motherboards are already in the open market. My thoughts on who will need a machine capable of these speeds. The software coders will be so-o-o-o far behind that a lot of that power will never be utilized due to software incompetence. In simple terms the software, mostly games, will be your Achilles heel. Gaming software is so far behind today that you really have no need for an 8 core processor for gaming.
If it ain't broke; don't fix it!
