Remember those who served on this Veteran's Day

It's November 11th 2023.  Is there someone in your family who served in the armed forces?  Now is the time to show them respect for putting their lives on the line in serving their country.  Dig through those old pictures, find one of your family member and tell us about them.

I'll start.  Here is a picture of my father-in-law (Robert Cummins) that was taken sometime in 1944.  He was in the US Army and he shipped over to the Philippines (Manila) for the expected invasion of mainland Japan.  Fortunately the war ended and so the invasion wasn't required.  He was able to get a university degree on the GI bill and become a civil engineer.  Sadly, he passed this past May at the age of 96.  He is forever in our hearts.
