I want to create youtube videos and I have some questions.
obs or amd software recording
best bit rate value for 1920x1080 60fps recording.
best program for editing videos?
should I record in mp4 or mkv format?
in obs recording settings there is bframe option. best value for bframe?
2700x 6700xt 32gb ram storage is not problem and I have 1920x1080p 165hz and 144hz monitor.
any advice is welcome
I know nothing so I will ask few more questions.
for start I will only cut some parts and combine others nothing special.
can you explain why is higher bitrate better for editing?
On that link recommended bit rate for yt video in 1080p 60 fps is 12mbps. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en#zippy=%2Cbitrate
will quality of video increase if I set 30 mbps bitrate even if resoulution is 1920x1080?
If video is recorded with 30mbps bitrate will it be harder to load when someone want to watch it on yt compared to 12mbs bitrate video?
I plan to create long videos (few hours), will that require lower bitrate?
Every time you edit a video you lose quality. If you started with a normal quality you'll end up with a video that's of lesser quality after editing it. So it's best to start off with the higher bit rate and then save the final rendering out using Google's recommended bit rate.
It shouldn't be harder for anybody to watch because your final rendering you'll use 12Mbps. Also YouTube will always re-encode your videos to their standard bit rates.
Obviously the longer the video and higher the bit rate the larger the file size will become. You'll have to decide this for yourself based on how much storage you have and if you're going to keep the files. Obviously my suggested bit rate is only a suggestion. You could easily use a much lower bit rate.
thank you for your time. Is there way to cut and combine videos without quality loss?
Technically yes, but it's quite involved and usually not worth the effort. If you opt for a reasonable bit rate the quality loss should be insignificant.
obs rate control setting for recording?
