Can someone fill me in on what is going on with NewEgg and these RMA's.
I have never had one single problem with NewEgg, EVER.
The very first thing I do with a new component, peripheral, or accessory is REGISTER it with the MANUFACTURER.
Users seem to be requesting an RMA from NewEgg instead of the manufacturers or the products they purchase. Are these individuals absent minded or just confused?

In the case of AMD, AMD's Warranty doesn't start until the Retailer's Return Date or Warranty expires first.
Also, in the case like Amazon, it is faster to RMA a purchase through Amazon then through the manufacturer.
Not sure if Newegg's RMA process is similar to Amazon's or not ever since a Chinese company purchased Newegg a while back.
But I do give credit to Newegg when a HDD I purchased was stolen from outside my 3rd floor Condo door where the shipper left it without knocking on my door. But I did upload a Police Report to Newegg before they refunded my money on the HDD. Something they legally didn't have to do since the package was correctly delivered to my home.
well, at least, in the case of AMD Warranty yes it does apply if you still have a Retailer's Warranty active. Concerning other manufacturer's warranty I don't know.
Yeah, a Chinese company bought the majority of Newegg thus the owner:

Thanks.
I've not had to return many items purchased from Amazon, but the ones I have, like you said has never been an issue. Just had one recently with a Corsair Iron Claw mouse where the serial number was blacked out. Amazon gave an RMA almost immediately. Never had to return anything to NewEgg.
I was under the impression that if you register your products like I do, that your manufacturer warranty begins.
I wasn't aware that NewEgg had sold out to the CCP.
