Did you have any power surges recently? Assuming not, how far will the computer boot up before stopping? Can you see any LED lights on the motherboard during the boot process? These indicate checks and errors as the motherboard goes through initializing the RAM, CPU and VGA prior to booting into Windows.
You should tell us what hardware you are using in the computer and what might have been related to you hitting the reset button on your computer - such as it was frozen at some point, or the display was corrupted.
