Download version 2.8
System:
macOS Mojave version 10.14.6
Maya 2019.2
radeonprorenderformaya.dmg, Double click, opening in untitled folder.
Double click, RadeonProRenderMayaInstaller, nothing happens?
Enable: Allow apps Download From, via Terminal, nothing happens?
Any solution??

There seems to be something wrong with the installer from the AMD website. We are currently investigating this issue.

Install Successful.
Plugin loads.
Radeon Prorender in MenuBar.
No Shelf !!
Viewport works. (A bit Grainy)
IO error Unable to load (NormalMap <UDIM>)
Radeon Prorender Crashed in Render window.
Nothing about:
A link to a web page providing a key is given (key is sent by email) !?
And of course, It’s a new renderer for me.
Tried a simple scene With Uber Shader:
Color and Normal Map
1UV Map in 1 UV Set.
RPRUberMaterial1 NormalMap: invalid node type 14

"A link to a web page providing a key is given (key is sent by email)" we removed registration from installer so it should not ask for one. do you mean it sent a key to your email ?
"RPRUberMaterial1 NormalMap: invalid node type 14" This error means you have your normal map incorrectly connected to Uber Material. Please try to add a RPR normal node in between Uber material and the normal map.
"Radeon Prorender Crashed in Render window." can you provide Steps or possible scene to Reproduce this crash?
"No Shelf" it currently being looked at
No Key is send, I read the README.txt as always , including the license agreement
RPRUberMaterial1 NormalMap: invalid node type 14, due to Convert Arnold scene to PBR.
No Time left for me today, tomorrow I run some Tests
By the way, My Mac doesn't run as hot like with Arnold, and it's very fast in the viewport.

Maya New scene:
Create polygon Sphere, (Move up).
Create polygon Plane, (Scale bigger).
Radeon ProRender, Lights, Create or Select a Sky Node.
Switch to Renderer in viewport, Radeon ProRender.
Object selection: No green wireframe (object Mode).
Select tool is visible.
Windows, Rendering Editors, Render View (Settings Default)
// Error: file: /Users/Shared/RadeonProRender/Maya/plugin/scripts/createFireRenderCommonGlobalsTab.mel line 1326: Value is out of range: 8
Render the current frame, 10 % Fatal Error.
Click Ok
Above scene with, lambert or RPR or RPRUber Material, with no texture maps, all the same result.

Please try to add a RPR normal node in between Uber material and the normal map. Oki Doki
NormalMap now Works in viewport.
Windows, Rendering Editors, Render View (Settings Default):
Render the current frame, 10 %.
File contains unknown nodes or data. To preserve this information, the current file type cannot be changed.
Fatal Error, Click Ok.

There is a known issue: if you are running viewport render and then start production render or IPR, Maya will crash with the fatal error.

Yes, that's right.
Not running viewport render, didn’t crash the render View Window.
Quality could be better (maybe a Mac issue)
I keep experimenting and following the development.
