Some help here would be greatly appreciated. Where is the vbios switch on my rx480? I can see no switches or similar labels on my rx480 or anything that looks remotely like a switch. There are case design variations of the rx480. When googling this, 99% of what results show the bios switch models with that birght red switch with the 2 labels: "LED MODE SWITCH" and "V BIOS SWITCH". There is nothing like that on mine. All 6 sides of my card are shown below.
(If there is not a physical switch, what would be the method for switching on a Mac Pro 2012 running Mojave?)

The complete name on my card is:
SAPPHIRE NITRO RADEON RX480 8G GDDR5 PCI-E DUAL HDMI/DVI-D/DUAL DP OC W/BP (UEFI)

PN: 299-1E353-510SA

Seems like Sapphire has two models of the RX480 8GB GPU card. One model has Dual BIOS while that other has only one BIOS.

Found these Data sheets for the Sapphire Nitro RX480 8GB with Dual and  Single BIOS:

So it seems like you have the single BIOS GPU card which explains why you don't have a Dual BIOS Switch on it.

If you can upload a image of GPU-Z that will show which model you have.

At the top right click on "LOOKUP" and it will show you which GPU model you have.

You can also compare GPU data to see which GPU model you have.

GPU-Z does not run "out of the box" on my Mac. I am looking for an alternative.

Yes, I misread your original OP where you stated you were using a Mac Pro.

GPU-Z is not available for Mac but there are a few alternatives that runs on macOS with similar functionality. The best Mac alternative is The OpenGL Hardware Capability Viewer, which is both free and Open Source. If that doesn't suit you, our users have ranked more than 25 alternatives to GPU-Z and three of them are available for Mac so hopefully you can find a suitable replacement. Other interesting Mac alternatives to GPU-Z are Systempal (Paid) and CheckMyMac (Paid).

I am working on getting Open Core working on my 2012 Mac Pro to have a multi-boot screen under Mojave with a well supported metal-capable card. Switching to the other bios with a physical switch would have been the preferred way to solve an installation problem being worked out in this technical forum

I am not familiar with Apple OS or PC that much. Also first time I hear about Opencore for Mac PCs.

Thanks for that link. I am reading it but not well versed in the kinds of solutions possible. I am dependent on the central Facebook group of OpenCore project maintainers and experienced users which is great. I will crowd-source the problem and solution there. The RX 480 was recommended in the central facebook group of the Mac Pro Hackintosh community not based on the availability of the switch but Apple and metal compatability. I have my Hackintosh up and developing based on the support there. I will find the way possibly bouncing between this great forum and those...hopefully without too many missteps and reversals.
