Rx580 no display

Hi,

I upgraded my mainboard (b450M Pro-vdh Max) and my Cpu (Ryzen 5 5500) and now when I plug in my grafics card it boots but I have a total blackscreen.

I tessted everything and came to the conclusion that it is the grafics card not working so I tested it in a other PC and it worked. Anyone have a idea what could be the reason?

To support the Ryzen 5 5500, the MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX must be on BIOS version 7A38vBE or higher.

Newer boards typically have a means to flash BIOS from a drive in a special labelled USB port, however it does not appear your board offers this.

If you have an older CPU you could install temporarily in this board you may be able to get the BIOS version upgraded, then reinstall your 5500.

I updated BIOS to 7A38vBL, with no problem, but I think the problem is with the rx580.

I tested it with another Grafics Card and it worked flawlessly.

What model was the other card?

The RX 580 is a PCIe 3.0 card. Likewise the B450 with Ryzen 5500 also supports PCIe 3.0
