According to this Safe Temperature website:

So if your GPU card is running at 80c it is till a little below its Maximum Temperature range but it is running a little hot though.
There are several factors that can determine your GPU card temperature:
1- Old Thermal Paste/Pads
2-GPU Fan not working at full speed/Dirty or going bad or you need a aggressive Fan Profile to run the GPU fans at full speed at a lower temperature
3- Poor Air Circulation inside your PC case
4- Hot ambient room temperature
5- Need to configure Game or Radeon settings for a cooler run.
