The parsec production team cannot find the 4:4:4 colour coding code in the amd hardware, can you provide support to them?

Is that all you can come up with?

  1. Which AMD Hardware are you referring to?
  2. What is your platform?
  3. What is your OS?
  4. What is the display make and model?
  5. How is the display connected to AMD Hardware (whatever that is)?

Sorry, I can't express my message correctly, I hope you can help me with this question

Please go thru the threads on the link you provided and let me know which AMD Hardware are they referring to. How am I supposed to troubleshoot this:

[Teams/Warp] Added hardware support for 4:4:4 color encoding on Intel 11th gen CPUs

They added that on god damn integrated graphics but not for Amd graphics? that's so bullshit

I don't know which amd hardware they're talking about, I'm asking them now.

As far as I know, no AMD GPU supports 4:4:4 encoding. The lack of physical support means that to get it would require the release of a new GPU that supports it. this is a missing feature.

I am confused. The subject line is referring to 4:4:4 Color Coding and now you are referring to 4:4:4 encoding. Both statements are kinda vague.

  1. If it is related to Color Coding, then are we talking about RGB or YCbCr? In both cases AMD GPUs support that color coding, even using 10bpc color depth.
  2. If it is related to Encoding, then which video format/resolution/frame rate are we talking about?

When encoding or decoding PC video in real-time with the Parsec app, INTEL's CPU-integrated GPUs and nVidia's GTX and RTX can encode and decode in 4:4:4, but only AMD's Radeon series can only do so in 4:2:0, a functional limitation. The problem is that
This is a very lamentable problem, and one has to go out of one's way to buy a competitor's product additionally just for this reason.
For more details, please see the official Parsec app page below. I hope AMD will improve the driver to support 4:4:4 encoding and decoding.

At this point we are limited to 4:2:0, but might change in future

Has anyone revisited this request? It's honestly an important feature for some of us and every other gpu/CPU company has it except AMD for some reason.

Many years ago ATI-AMD was king of quality. Now NVidia. Every professional must pick NVidia. Sad.
