My game crashes or my computer freezes and throws a DirectX error code on my screen if my computer fails to recover and I don't have to turn it off. This is recently after the Modern Warfare 2 update on my 7000series 7900XTX. I can hardly play and if I do end up in a game my game crashes about 10 minutes into playing. I updated all my drivers, reinstalled my drivers, installed updates and still have the issue. I even attempted to go back to windows 10 and the error still occurs. Can this be fixed? How? I feel like I ran out of options. No this does not occur with any other games either.

That is odd. Maybe reinstall the game? I play Modern Warfare 2 99% of the time. And my 7900xtx chews it up. Its been great. That's really got to suck if your trying to play any Ranked play, because you get put in the corner on a time out if you "leave" the game. Even on a crash. That sucks mate. If its only this title, it kinda seems like its not your gear. Like i mentioned, try and **bleep** can the game, and reinstall it ????? That sucks my dude. If the one game i play the most, ran like that, .... id be pissed. Good luck.

There is a long discussion in the Drivers and Software section about this. There maybe a fix coming in Activision's MW Season 3 Reloaded due to come out on Wedneday.

Try turning off AMD Anti Lag and if you have a 7000 series card also Anti Lag Plus. It fixed the crashing to desktop in the menus for me and I can play online, but I don't have the latency benefits of Anti Lag.

And ive ran anti lag (dont know where anti lag PLUS even is) since day one of getting the card drop day. It was never a issue for me. Odd.....
