I'm a owner of a 6750xt saphire pulse, and while i gaming the gpu always hit 100~110c at junction temperature. 
After i try the obvious solutions( custom fan curve, undervolt etc) i have a idea to turn off in game radeon overlay.
After i made that the gpu temperature droped to 69~78c at junction temperature.
Anyone have this issue too? I use driver 23.2.1.

Great detective work.

If you were using the overlay in a previous version then I would simply reinstall that version unless you were having other problems.
