Matching a GPU to the Ryzen 7 8700G

I recently purchased the Ryzen 7 8700G processor with an ASUS ProArt B650 Creator MoBo.

I purchased the 7 8700G specifically because of its integrated graphics in the interest of saving money, if it will serve my graphics purposes, but I've been considering alleviating the processing load on the CPU in favor of going ahead and getting a discrete GPU. My general use for the graphics capabilities is for CAD/CAM and design applications.

 

Any thoughts?
