Never going to buy amd products in the future. Absolutely worthless performance in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. Even other lower grade gpus perform better
OK.
I feel like this goes here. Spider-Man PC | RX 6800 XT | 4K and 1440p | Ray Tracing on/off | FSR 2.0 on/off | R9 5950 X - YouTub...

i have GPU low usage with 5600X + 6900XT at 1080P drop fps to 50FPS ..... pathiec
i have 6900XT + 5600X i use 1080P 144Hz i got low Gpu usage and power draw also very low
i dont know why ps5 have raytraced + 60 fps(very solid fps) called performance rt mode at 2k dinamic scaling (insomniac stuff) and people like me we are playing 1080p rt enabled on full AMD rigs deeps below 60 fps with Raytraced reflections plus those frametime running like crap, i bought RDNA 2 thinking about this kind of 1:1 port for the same architecture will be the best way to play those titles, what a disapointment :< i could saved money with ps5 than buying my high end r9 5900 + rx 6900
At the moment after enabling FSR 2.0 i had 0 fps boost... what a same, i know there are cpu limitations but not in this (nvidia can push around 100+ fps constantly rt on or off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6Y9hcvdArw&t=911s&ab_channel=zWORMzGaming )
AMD should't sell us smoke if that tech cant performance properly( we waited months when we actually purchased those gpus when they promised that dlss competitor)
on this one is without RT and i dont see 100+ rasterization at 1080p rx 6900 should beat rtx 3090 in this specific scenario cuz rx 6900 xt is the best 1080p after rx6950 xt
Try turning off ULPS. You can do it in the Windows registry or just use MSI Afterburner. I don't yet own the game but I will in about two weeks. Are you using the 22.8.1 drivers that have the optimization for the game?
First thx for the advice and help. Yes is adrenaline 22.8.1 optimized for Spidey game. If it matters I have this pc xfx speedster merc 319 ultra gaming 6900 xt, RAM 32Gb Corsair vengeance RGB pro 3200Mhz CL16, Mobo MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max (bios updated recently and chipset), r9 5900x, PSU corsair hx1200, storage Intel consumer 660p 1TB<=(the game is here) nvme M2, WD 3d blue SSD 1TB, aio thermal take 360mm riing 3.0, windows 11 recently installed up to date, ultimate performance power plan, admin execution for the game, AMD antilag and and sync enabled on a 1080 p free sync 144hz monitor. I can share other tested games performing good in my pc like this (I'm CPU encoding stream at medium on OBS) Game starts at 12:49 min https://youtu.be/SGigk035Svs
off ULPS RT enabled judge for yourself in my opinion nothing deserved to expect in that rig vs ps5 performance.
Exuse me, if game uses texture streaming that consumes too much of CPU it is not GPU problem by itself.
On other side, there are clearly some optimisations made to Nvidia, even though even high end Nvidia cards are heavily CPU limited, even if used with 5800X3D. It may be raw memory bandwith, or some specific driver call improvements. Time will say more.
But as on some lower end GPU it isn't as noticable, there is high chance it is combined CPU + memory bandwith bottleneck, as Vega 56 was on par with RX 5600 (which was better than GTX 1080, not mistake for 1080ti)
Anyways it clearly have some pipeline bottleneck or something.
Big amounts of data https://youtu.be/ZijGpYBO864
It also may be that raw lighting and reflection performance on AMD GPU is kind of worse compared to Nvidia (it is better in other aspects though), but it doesn't explain heavy bottleneck showcase
My pc clearly doesnt match with that fps test
I tested the last build patch no difference
According to forums and discussions on Steam some people with high end systems are just not getting the performance they want in this title.
It may just be some systems are not optimized for yet.
I also came across a thread saying there was a memory leak in the game.
I plan on purchasing this game in two weeks, when I have the funds for the game but, having looked into it on the Steam community discussions, it seems that both Nvidia and AMD GPUs aren't performing as well in this title as they do in other games.
So with these settings in the launcher,
These settings in game,
and Freesync off. I get 100 to 57 FPS depending on where I am.
I do see 80% to 60% GPU usage fluctuations. I never see 100% but I am at 1080P. My CPU Usage varies from 80% to 50%.
I don't see any issues with this performance.
Specs.
I will test with VSR at 1440P next, as I do not have a native 1440p display.
At 1440p with these settings I managed 90 to 57FPS. Freesync Off
After the release of few patches its still goin the same way drops bellow 60 fps with powerfull hardware than ps5
Any updates on this issue. I am on:
Motherboard: MSI MPG X670E Carbon Wifi
CPU: Ryzen 9 7950X
GPU: ASRock AMD RADEON RX 6800 XT
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 6000 MT/s 2x16gb
PSU: MSI 850W
Windows 11
It is playing like crap
I have not played the game since I completed it but if you are having issues, I believe they are on the developer side. We all have heard that people have beastly PCs and they are significantly more powerful than a PS5 but what most people do not understand is the game gets the FPS it does on consoles because they are basically running the game at the medium setting regardless of resolution.
I do know there is an issue as I did have dips below 60FPS but after a while I just gave up and played the game. Driver updates have not mentioned the game since shortly after the game launched for PC, so the only thing I could think of is the devs just didn't optimize the game well enough for stable high refresh rate gameplay.
Sorry I don't have a solution.
agree
After all updates of the game still underperforming compared to ps5, its so sad.
If you compare this port to the PS5, or any port really for that matter, you also have to take into account the PS5 is both using upscaling technology and running the game at medium to low settings even when set to quality mode. To mimic the experience of the console game you would need to run every setting at medium to low and use FSR.
I crank everything to max with no upscaling and still have a great time.
Yes FPS does dip with the settings all cranked up but it looks significantly better than the PS5 even at 1080p.
It's not realistic to compare very high and max settings to a console that is basically using medium to low and upscaling, when you yourself aren't using upscaling.
One thing I do have to say is, games are becoming less and less optimized with the advent of these super high end systems, it is almost like the devs of these newer titles don't take into account that most of the player base according to the Steam Survey are using low to mid range hardware, and think it is okay to just say "Run DLSS or FSR", and think that is okay. In my opinion it is not and while I know games will get harder to run, most games do not have the graphical fidelity to justify such an unoptimized experience.
I feel for the people that are running the RX 500 series or GTX 10 series GPUs as these will soon be phased out so much that things will go the way of Forspoken and just not allow GPUs such as the RX 500 series to run the game at all.
as i said on my older post i have very high end amd rig r9 5900 rx 6900 the game go bellow 50 fps in 1080p in certain moments with the same RT quality of the ps5 like mimic you said before. I can show you im well informed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2HrOxwH0_Q&t=1s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deUAqRMSXgM
i spend more than the double price of a ps5 for much less and poor performance. It suposed to run well as it did on ps5 cuz its developed for AMD harware for sake of god. I should play at least 120 fps RT ps5 quality and FSR or whatever upscaler without dips at 2k MINIMUM for the price i paid.
I am assuming you tried and and all available workarounds.
While I understand, I must explain that this falls on the developers. AMD did what they could with drivers. The likelihood of the game being better optimized is slim to none since the game released so long ago. Most developers see 50 to 120 fps and say it is fine, as of late. The lows don't matter to them as long as the average is decent. This makes for a stuttery mess. Like I said, I hear you. All we as gamers can do is report the problems and hope that it is fixed eventually.
I don't mind the occasional dip to 50 then back up to 70 while I'm playing with everything maxed out.
Nowadays,
You can play many hours without error is already a bless.
I play this game 1080p limit to 60hz and already happy except that screeching sound after play more than 5 hours (to fix it just need quit the game, out and in just 1 minute) and can play again.
