I can't for the life of me seem to find out what kind of limitations the HP RX 5500 has for number of monitors.

The consumer version has 1 HDMI and 3 Displayports, but this special version on HP computers has 1 HDMI and 2 Displayports.

What I'm trying to do is hook up a potential of 4 monitors, 2 for desktop work and 2 for visual projection for an audience and one for a confidence monitor.  Its a small church, so we are talking 1080p resolution images to a projector, a TV, and one (maybe 2) monitors at the desk.

The computer model is TG01 2003W with the rx 5500 graphics card if the helps for more info.

According to the specs on your HP TG01 2003W it has installed a Ryzen APU processor Ryzen 5 5600G.

So you can hook up 3 monitors to the RX5500 and one monitor to your HP Motherboard's Video Output port.

You need to find out if the RX5500 1.4a supports MST technology. IF it does you can then connect 2 or more Monitors to a DP-MST Hub from one DP port.

But if your GPU card doesn't support MST technology then you can use the 3 video ports on the GPU card plus one video output port from your Ryzen APU IGPU from your Motherboard.

Just make sure in Device Manager that both your IGPU and RX5500 are both enabled.

Thank you so much. I did a lot of research and couldn't find out if it supported MST. I'll keep looking, but having just 3 would be fine until we upgrade again.

I'm trying to find them a cheap replacement for the laptop that's almost dead. You have helped my confidence that this purchase should do what we need it to.

Open a HP Support ticket and ask them directly.

You can also connect one HDMI monitor to your Motherboard's rear video Output port beside the GPU Card's HDMI and 2 DP ports.

I thought about asking HP, but the replies I've seen to their support is very rude and ill-informed. One particular reply advised opening the computer and unplugging a light when the appropriate solution was to open the Omen software and shut the light off. I figured I'd see if the knowledge might be here first before resorting to that.
