How to increase VRAM in my HP Pavilion windows 11?

Hello I have 32GB RAM and 512MB VRAM. I have regular crashes/black screen every single day, sometimes twice a day. In my opinion it is VRAM problem and Windows 11 it does not automatically get enough VRAM from RAM to use and get crashed. My RAM is used maximum to 16GB normally 7-10GB. I would like to increase my VRAM from dedicated value 512MB to 4GB to have always that possible usage to avoid crashes/black screen.
I've done it with registry editor, add my value 4096MB and still it does not work.
I used this steps.

The only way to increase or decrease your Integrated Graphics vRAM is through BIOS Settings.

If your laptop doesn't have a BIOS Setting to increase your IGPU vRAM then that means the manufacturer has made whatever vRAM you have permanent.

NOTE: Even though you only have the minimum amount of  vRAM assigned to your IGPU doesn't really matter because Windows will automatically, temporarily, assign whatever amount of System RAM Memory your IGPU needs to run any software or program you are using at the time.

Otherwise check to see if you see any BIOS settings to increase the vRAM or wait to see if your laptop manufacturer includes that specific BIOS Setting in a future BIOS update.

EDIT: Does your laptop also have a Discrete separate GPU card installed besides the IGPU?

I think i do not have... Yes you are right, but possibly Windows 11 does not work well with the newest AMD and it crashes. Like for me it is the situation I use over 512MB and it wants to get from RAM but it crashes.

you said:
Does your laptop also have a Discrete separate GPU card installed besides the IGPU?

My question:
How to check it? I have only seperated GPU from the laptop I haven't added anything to boost my laptop.

Still I need to solve this issue, any idea?

You can go to your Laptop Manufacturer's website and check the Specs to see if it also has a Discrete GPU card installed for your model.

Or you can run a freeware called SPECCY that shows you all the hardware (Make & Model most of the time) and software your laptop or PC has installed.

Or you can run GPU-Z and see if it shows two GPUs for your laptop.

I realize English is not your native language but if your Laptop is crashing it could be due to your AMD VGA Driver or some other reason.

What errors are you getting when your laptop crashes?

EDIT: You can always open a HP SUPPORT Ticket and ask them if your laptop BIOS has a setting to increase your IGPU vRAM.

2 monitors + graphic driver nothing more.

Let's say more accurate word will be screen becomes black. Music is turned off, I can't do anything with my computer only force it by button to turn it off. I don't know how to check logs in case of this bug. Maybe I could see statistics of my VRAM usage.?

many people has got that kind of issues  "windows 11 keep freezing randomly"

During this graphic test it crashes (goes black screen and I can't do anything) using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics

Thanks for the update.

Seems like more laptops are coming out with only IGPU and no separate GPU card.

Download freeware OCCT and run both the CPU and GPU and GPU vRAM Stress tests to see if the test fails or laptop crashes.

Keep an eye on Temperatures and Fan Speeds.

Also run DXDIAG.exe and save the file to your SSD. After running DXDIAG see if it shows any problems.

Look at the saved DXDIAG file and the very category see which files are having problems.

NOTE: I would open a HP SUPPORT and show them the Diagnostic test results concerning the IGPU.

It seems by the error in HP Diagnostic that the IGPU doesn't have any vRAM at all or it can't access the assign vRAM from the System RAM in your laptop.

If under Warranty I would see if it needs to be RMAed to be checked. Sounds like you have hardware failure in your laptop.

What does it could mean? Is it possible to fix hardware failure from my position, from Windows/BIOS perspective or should I replace some hardware ?

I've got error blackscreen from mxdiag.
I have run it at 80% it immediately goes with black screen. When I set it to 50% it runs for 10sec and the same black screen.

I would open a HP Support ticket for your laptop and see what they say because it failed the "Video Memory Fast Check"  This might indicate a Motherboard hardware issue.

But you can try first the below troubleshooting tips and then run HP Diagnostics (Full Scan) again.

Here is AMD latest generic VGA Driver for your Ryzen 5700U APU Processor: https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-mobile-processors-radeon-graphic...

First download HP OEM VGA Driver and install that and disconnect the external Monitor and see if the black out continues.

HP OEM VGA Driver is 100% compatible with your laptop.

Use DDU with the internet disconnected and delete the AMD Driver Installation folder at C:\AMD BEFORE install the HP OEM VGA Driver again.

Then with just your laptop and no other Monitor connected run HP Diagnostic again and see if the same error shows up.

I did what you have written. Errors changes. It still crashes. I open HP Support ticket, but they only suggest to reinstall Windows using mount downloaded version, which I did as well..
