Hey People! I'm moving from DDR3 to DDR4 RAM.
Hey People!
I have made many builds in the past 10 years. But NOW I am
going to switch from DDR3 to DDR4 RAM. I have used everything from a
DDR3 (512 mb PCIx16) ATI Radeon 5450 to a Gigabyte DDR3 2 gb Radeon
R7 240 PCIx16.......have even used a Nvidia card 5 years ago.
The question is should I even plan on using a card, for I
have graphics in the CPU (AMD Ryzen 3200G), with 8 gb DDR4 System RAM.
Somewhere down the road maybe I should change CPU's, but that's
down the road. Again, should I use the integrated graphics the Ryzen
3 3200G gives, or should I consider upgrading to a Ryzen 5 or 7?
With that option I will no doubt move to a graphics card.....but what type?
By the way, I'm NOT a gamer, so I hope that helps. I only use
this computer (actually my next build for photos, documents.....very
little.)
Thank You;
Jimmy Nelson

If your not gaming then that cpu should more than handle your graphics requirements.
You can always add a graphics card later if things change.

For what you use it for the integrated GPU will be perfectly fine, and a stronger CPU would be a waste. The 3200G is a capable unit for basic tasks.
