HDR won't enable RX580

I cannot enable HDR switch in windows 10 display settings. It toggles back to disbale the setting. I have verified all of my drivers are installed correctly and ensured that I'm using HDR compatible HDMI cables and an HDR compatible TV (LG CX55). There's no visible reason as to why this problem is occuring, but it absolutely is. I know my TV can output HDR but for some reason any time I turn it on, it immediately toggles back off. HDR is there in the options but whenever I turn it on it toggles back off. I have a RX 580. The latest drivers and Windows 10 with the latest updates.

Here are a few potential solutions you can try:

  1. Check display settings: Ensure that the display settings on your LG CX55 TV are correctly configured to enable HDR. Refer to the TV's user manual for instructions on enabling HDR and adjusting related settings.

  2. Update graphics drivers: Although you mentioned having the latest drivers, it's worth double-checking if there are any newer driver updates available for your AMD RX 580 graphics card. Visit the AMD website and download/install any updated drivers specific to your graphics card model.

  3. Disable other display enhancements: Some display enhancements, such as dynamic contrast or adaptive brightness, may interfere with HDR functionality. Disable these features in both your graphics card control panel and TV settings.

  4. Adjust color space settings: Experiment with different color space settings on both the graphics card control panel and the TV settings. Try setting the color space to RGB or YCbCr 4:4:4 and check if it helps in enabling HDR.

  5. Reset display settings: In Windows 10, navigate to Settings > System > Display, scroll down to the "Advanced display settings" section, and click on "Display adapter properties." Then, go to the "Monitor" tab and click on "Properties." From there, click on "Driver" and then "Roll Back Driver" to revert to a previous driver version. Restart your computer and try enabling HDR again.

  6. Test on another device: Connect your LG CX55 TV to another HDR-compatible device, if possible, to ensure that the issue is not with the TV itself. If HDR works fine with another device, it might indicate a specific compatibility problem with your graphics card.

  7. Contact support: If none of the above solutions work, it would be advisable to reach out to the technical support of both LG and AMD for further assistance. Provide them with detailed information about your setup and the troubleshooting steps you have already taken.

Remember, HDR functionality can be impacted by various factors, including hardware compatibility and software settings. Trying these suggestions should help you diagnose and resolve the issue.
