so my pc was running fine i shut it down and when i came back the next day the scond monitor wouldnt fire up i tried different cables different monitors clean installed the drivers and have narrowed it down to the HDMI port now i dont know why or how its stopped working but now it means i also cant use my VR as it plugs in via hdmi :( any help would be great think the card is now about 15/16 months old aswell

Sounds like you already completed most steps from the checklist.

If you already tried different cables and monitors and did a clean driver install,
then it might indeed be the cards HDMI port. Which would be an warranty issue.
In this case you should contact your vendor about a replacement card.

Did you install any Windows Updates just before the last shutdown?
(when the HDMI was still working - it could be an issue with Windows Updates)

No windows updates also did a fresh install of windows and still nothing so im assuming hdmi port itself.
I've put a ticket in with asus and hopefully something will come from that :D
