Change my graphics card

Hi,

At this moment I am in the process of updating my PC, I am going to change my graphics card, I will go from having an RX590 to an RX7900 XTX, my question comes from knowing if I should carry out the entire process of uninstalling the current drivers or not since my card current is already AMD.

Hi,

First lay out the foundations for your upgrade and read this handy guide.

How-to-install-a-GPU

Then, ask yourself, "Do I have a good enough Power Supply Unit?"

"Will my CPU be a good match for it?"

"Will I upgrade the CPU later?"

When You get the answer for it then the theoretical best course of action is use DDU to remove everything related to that card.

But I would just first uninstall drivers and install the new ones, only use DDU if it gives you any problems in the future.

Good Luck with the upgrade
