The newly released Blender 3.0 is said to take support for AMD GPUs to the next level, which I have been very happy to test as a very appreciated feature since OpenCL is not the vere fastest. But, my Radeon PRO WX100 is a pretty new model, but as I can see the support for that adapter is lost totally? I can not take advantage of the new "better support" and "Cycles X", or am I missing something??

Maybe AMD Forum's Moderator on Professional GPU Cards can help @fsadough otherwise you can try and check AMD ProRender Forum and see if anyone there can answer your question: https://community.amd.com/t5/blender-discussions/bd-p/blender-discussions
Even though the above like is for Blender Plug-in for ProRender program.
Blender supports GPU rendering on discrete graphics cards with the AMD RDNA architecture or newer and AMD Radeon Software 21.12.1 or AMD Radeon PRO Software 21.Q4 GPU drivers or newer.
Support GPUs include:
AMD Radeon RX 5000 Series
AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series
AMD Radeon Pro W6000 Series
Radeon Pro WX7100 is based on GCN Architecture and not RDNA
Thanks for answer. So, the correct term would be "newest" GPU architectures rathern that "new". Because, in my world a professional high-end graphics card, invested in less than 2 years ago is still new architecture, even if there offcourse always going to be newer/newest architecture available. So, my investment in AMD professional gx adapter despite Nividia-people trying to convince me that Nivida CUDA is the path to follow for rendering, was not very wice. I don't have the money for another investment in graphics card.
Thanks anyway

@fsadough, can the OP use ProRender with a Blender Plug-in since I believe ProRender is compatible with all RX GPU Cards.
Or is that different then using Blender by itself?
ProRender ist different
ProRender just craches for me with new Blender 3.0, before it was my togo renderer.

Regarding ProRender crach with new Blender 3.0:
OS: Win10 21H1
GPU: Tried both the latest 21.40 and the 21.40 BETA for Blender 3.0
ProRender: latest

Before this driver i used the at-the-moment-latest (!!!!!!!) found on AMD:s page of latest drivers, i.e. win10-win11-radeon-pro-software-21.q4-dec3. Is that precise enough??

No, it is not. I need the exact ProRender version:
Version: RadeonProRenderForBlender_3.3.0_Windows.Release_October_2021
Blender some times just exits (crash) Or it just say
"Error | 'Material' object has no attribute 'cycles'. Please see logs for more details"
I have dissabled Cycles and ProRender forth and back, but no luck still. In 2.93 it still works. Now I have deleted all earlier Blender installations and re-installed both blender 3.0 and ProRender 3.3.0 . Still same error.
I don't know where the log file for this is located (or wich log file for that matter), so I cannot tail that log unfortunately.

So, I had an i7-4730K with 32GB RAM and an AMD Radeon PRO WX7100 GPU. Since Blender does not let me use that "old" GPU anymore, I decided to go for the new RNDA2-architecture (AMD Radeon Pro W6600), after I read that this GPU will give much faster rendering (up to 10 times faster) with "Cycles-X" that is now part of Blender 3.0.
I bought a new computer i9-12900K with 64GB ram but sadly did not get the W6600 GPU directly. I tried rendering anyway. Comparing the render times, I now got about four times faster renders with this new computer even without the ordered GPU (12 minute compared to 42 minutes) for a typical blender scene I use as a "benchmark".
But, now after receiving the new Radeon Pro w6600 GPU, the render times are not at all faster, rather actually slower when activating the "CPU+GPU" mode compared to when using only the CPU while rendering. How is that? Was that GPU investment totally unnecessary after upgrading to a i9-12900K? I feel confused, I hoped for some faster render. Any ideas?

If you are using AMD ProRender with a Blender Plugin there is a AMD Blender Forum you can try from here: https://community.amd.com/t5/radeon-prorender/ct-p/amd-radeon-prorender
Thanks for the advice! For now I use latest Blender (not supporting ProRender), as Cycles-X is supposed to give really fast rendering experience with supported GPU. I will try out the Proredner again, as soon it is supported to the latest Blender
Maybe I can try to install booth the WX7100 and the W6600 cards together and achieve faster results with Prorender.

Radeon Pro WX7100 was released in Nov 2016. The GPU is 5 years old.
So, the W5700 is not supported, still it is RDNA architecture?
That one cost "only" about €1000 and would have been almost affordable.
/Mattias
Radeon Pro W5xxx is RDNA1 and supported
W5700 not supported on Linux in combination with Blender. On Windows it is supported.
Hm...Ok, a how to install 22q4 from Linux Arch, Manjaro?
No such driver exists.
And in my case, the blender does not see my R pro W5500
3.4 LTS
