Absolute resolution limit for Virtual Super Resolution on Radeon Graphics?

I am not a gamer but an independent software developer. I need to test how my software (that runs in windowed mode and does not modify graphics settings) works under Windows at high screen resolutions. I cannot use a VM for this, sadly. 

My device is Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 16ARB8 (82XY0054CK) with 16 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 7530U with integrated AMD Radeon Graphics and 512MB VRAM (1333MHz LPDDR4).

I have tested the internal display and both HDMI TVs in my house, with the following results:

So it appears that the limit of VSR on my card is double the native resolution of the monitor, with the added limitation that it needs to be a somewhat standard resolution (which 2720x1536 is not so 2560x1440 is the limit for a 1360x768 panel). However, there must be another limit: pixels are stored in VRAM so resolutions beyond a certain number of pixels cannot work. What is the limit for my setup, and how high could I push VSR on a 4k screen if I had one? I don't want to buy a 4k monitor or wait for a 4k HDMI dummy to arrive from China just to find out that I cannot push beyond 4k. I really don't need to actually see 4k, I just want to know how large I can get the window of my program with this GPU.

Turns out Windows 10+ has IDD so this won't be necessary.
