What should "XHCI hand-off" be set to in the BIOS on Windows 11? The setting slightly alters how my mouse feels.
I've done some research and realized that basically nobody knows what exactly the setting is supposed to do. I've come across a lot of wrong/conflicting information about the hand-off.
I think it boils down to the way the XHCI controller is handled: "disabled" at BIOS level and "enabled" at OS level.
But there is no rule of thumb here - it was enabled by default on my ASRock board, meanwhile some other ASRock boards have it disabled. Other mobo manufacturers follow this nonsense - the setting differs between motherboard models from the same manufacturer.
All in all it's really confusing and I have yet to find someone who really knows the topic. XHCI hand-off has an impact on mouse feel/latency and I want to find out which setting will allow for more "pure" mouse movement.
