I have a xfx r9 280x, I did not use it for a while, I was recently using it when I installed the drives, it stays on for 5 to 10 minutes without any problems, after which a white or brown screen appears locking everything.

If drivers:

Sorry but you have to go back to an older driver that works. AMD does not acknowledge the issue. Many have complained this behavior killed their cards. So run ddu and return to a driver you know worked.

If you changed nothing then likely the hardware is failing.

I tested almost all updates possibly until my patience no longer allowed (catalyst 13.12 to Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.1.1), I updated the bios and nothing.

I'm going to give a stir in the core clock, memory clock and power limit if it does not work I'm going to open it and test the components.

I think I solved the problem, I'm already 2 days playing 5 hours each day without problems, without black screen, white or any other color appearing and locking the pc.

I just do not dare leave him on all day,  Afraid it will get a white screen and catch fire when I am not present.
