I built my computer in august of 2024. Everything was running fantastic for about four months on my 7900 XTX and 7800 X3D. Then WoW had an update in mid December 2024 and everything stopped working. When I loaded World of Warcraft it would say there is a known issue and then it would freeze. I have tried every solution I have read on these forums and others. Nothing works. I have settled for running DirectX11 with loads of stuttering and framerate issues.
At this point, I am ready to throw away my $1000 7900XTX GPU and buy an Nvidia card.
... did you update your drivers? yes
did you update your bios? yes
Do you have the right HDMI cord for your monitor? yes
and so on and so forth.
I am only wiriting this because somebody else out there will be wondering if they are the only ones having this issue. The answer is no. As blizzard has said,"It is a known issue".
