what would happen if one glued an on board loose capacitor using silicone ?????????
does silicone have effects on the printed circuit board (pcb) would it conduct electricity ??
would it change data in the computer since data on the mother board is represented in
"0" and "1"
am curious i got this old computer lying around noted a few weakened capacitors it starts and i silicon glued the capacitor
am a bit worried wouldn't want to start the cpu only to explode ??
feed back please ????? i have also attached photos below both the type of silicone glue used and where i fixed the glue in the capacitors
It is better to Resolder the capacitors if they are loose. If they are loose due to broken legs than you need to replace it. I heard people use Hot Glue to secure or isolate electronic components.
