I know R9 290x isn't supported anymore but anyways after installing Windows updates on tuesday I lost HDMI sounds from card to TV, video works but no sound is transferred (audio too worked ~1.5 weeks ago just fine) no matter if it is via VLC or selecting R9 290x as sound device.
Not saying it's Microsoft's fault but ...............
