threadripper 2990wx Dynamic Local Mode option is disabled

Hello, I have a threadripper 2990wx processor, installed the Ryzen Master program to assign the Game Mode profile, but the Dynamic Local Mode option is disabled (NA), I have Windows 11, is the problem Windows 11? And it only works on Windows 10? Or do I have to do something to activeit? If I place the 4 memory rams in the corresponding quad channel order, I shouldn't have to configure anything else?

First reset Ryzen Master to Default settings and see if Dynamic LocaL Mode is enabled again. It is possible in Game Mode it might be automatically disabled.

Game mode disables all Processors cores EXCEPT 8 Cores. This is made mainly to run Legacy Games.  Possibly to enable Dynamic Local Mode you need to have all cores or your Threadripper enabled and running.

Reading this previous AMD Thread see if the Core Service for Dynamic Local Mode is running or installed: core service 'AMDDynamicLocalModeService'

I can't install AMD Dynamic Local Mode sevice

I use Ryzen ThreadRipper 2990WX. I want to use Dynamic Local Mode , so I installed Ryzen Master, but I couldn't choose this mode. I found several articles which the core service 'AMDDynamicLocalModeService' is installed in \c\program files\AMD folder when Ryzen Master is installed. So, I checked the folder, but I couldn't find it. Could you tell me the way to install the AMD Dynamic Local Mode Service?

Hello, I uninstalled and installed Ryzen Master again and now the Dynamic Local Mode option appears, but I only see 8 active processors, shouldn't I have more cores?

It seems that my 2990wx processor is not compatible with windows11, could this be the reason? here you can see the list of compatible processors:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-amd...

However, the chipset drivers are available for Windows 11.

According to Microsoft all Zen+ Processors and  newer are compatible with Windows 11 including your processor.

The original Microsoft AMD processors compatible with Windows 11 was mentioned but now the latest Microsoft list doesn't for some reason. But it was shown to be compatible at that time.

This tech site from 2021 shows the Intel & AMD Compatible Processors at the time and your processor was listed: https://allthings.how/windows-11-processors-list-intel-amd-qualcomm/

Found this Microsoft Q&A that asks the same question why the Threadripper 2000 series was listed originally and not now: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1165578/windows-11-supported-cpu-list-changes

The only difference I see is the new list only mentions the "PRO" versions.

One problem I noticed in your Registry screenshot. It is showing two different version of Ryzen Master. This could be the reason why you are having issues with your Threadripper.Screenshot 2024-04-19 213414.png

Some Users previously had issues installing or showing a corrupt Ryzen Master because in the Registry it was showing the same thing as your. Two different versions of Ryzen Master. After cleaning out the Registry and deleting the previous Ryzen Master version in the Registry they ware able to successfully install Ryzen Master.

It is possible the Registry is causing some sort of conflict between the two version show in your Registry.

If you have it on "Game Mode" it will automatically disable all but 8 Cores of your processors so that it will be able to run legacy games that can't support processors with more then 8 cores running.

If you don't have it on "Game Mode" then I suggest your open a AMD SUPPORT TICKET from here: https://www.amd.com/en/forms/contact-us/support.html

NOTE: See if any other User with more experience with Ryzen Master can assist you while contacting AMD SUPPORT.
