HP Laptop. AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics, 2375Mhz. Windows 10 Pro
No monitor attached. I do not play video games. I am not running a Server.
Device Management:
- Display Adapters: AMD Radeon (TM) Graphics.
- Monitors: Generic PnP Monitor.
A couple of weeks ago, I started getting the following notifications.
AMD Software: Adrenalin Software has detected one or more high-DPI panels are connected to your system. Enabling Virtual Super Resolution will increase your resolution...
Press "Alt +R" to access Radeon Overlay for in-game configuration
Then one day I got the following message:
c:\program files\windowApps\AdvancedMicroDevicesInc-2.AMDRadeonSoftw...\launcherrsxruntime.exe. A required privilege is not held by the client.
Task Manager is showing the following programs running.
AMD Crash Defender Service
AMD Software(4)
- AMD Software Command Line Interface
- AMD Software: Host Application
- Radeon Settings: Host Service
- Radeon Settings: Source Extension
I am puzzled as to why I am suddenly getting these messages. Even more puzzled about Host Application and Host Service software.
atieclxx.exe is located in c:\windows\system32 and c:\windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository\.... Both files are 915KB.
Any thoughts? Is it possible for someone to remote to my laptop and attach a monitor for their viewing pleasure???
