This is an issue with the "AMD Ryzen 7600x Gigabyte B650M Gaming Wifi" that I have.
This comes from a reddit post where there is an issue with this board where it has garbled text on performance mode with FireFox.
My goal is to have this mode still enabled and fix the issue.
Reddit said the solution is to do this
"Still, that didn't fix the issue, setting the GPU frequency manually is what fixed it for me."
If you google
"Solution for Integrated Graphics crashing on AMD Ryzen 9 7950x" You will find the solution that worked for practically everyone according to the comments.
This is problem with firefox that apparently has been going on in the last year and it's not fixed with the amd apu drivers or chipset drivers (not sure which one)
Strix's solution is to do this
"Set the GPU Boost like the following screenshot, the GPU clock frequency has to be typed manually:"
And he also said to find your processor's frequency, mine is Ryzen 7600x so it's 2200 MHz. But for some reason on my motherboard bios I tried everything to find GPU boost mode. There is nothing. There is advanced CPU Settings. But it's just not in there. Now everyone on the comments section didn't have a problem with that solution or had no trouble finding GPU boost mode.
My bios is ComboAM5PI 1.2.0.0A
Is there anywhere I can set the GPU's frequency? Where is GPU boost mode in the bios. I already read the comments. Nobody seems to have trouble finding it but me?
Someone else made a comment saying this
"Bro u saved me, i have a ryzen 7700 and it stopped freezing when i setup gpu to 2200 MHz, i was already losing hope"
So I should be able to find GPU boost mode somewhere if my processor supports it, right?
Have they done away with GPU boost mode on this bios? Why am I not finding it?
Someone else said this:
"Thanks for sharing this! I’ve had similar issues with my AMD Ryzen system, and adjusting the GPU Boost in the BIOS worked wonders. It’s kind of a pain that AMD hasn’t released an official fix yet, but at least there’s a workaround"
Does anybody know the workaround to find GPU Boost mode so I can use firefox without garbled text?
Research from google says to go here "advanced > Tweaker > GPU Boost"
Researching google even more to find where GPU Boost mode doesn't really work because they think you are not talking about integrated. That's why I went here.
This is what I have in my bios, please look at the attached screenshot.
