So basically I've been having some generally bad frames with some games and I think my cpu might be the issue and I've been wondering if I should upgrade. So I run 32Gb ddr4 ram and a 3060 12gb but I think my cpu is what's holding me back a little bit. So I've been trying to decide whether I should upgrade my cpu or fully swap to the am5 line.

What is your motherboard?

Because the 5600G only has 8x lanes of PCIe gen 3.0 for the graphics card which restricts available bandwidth.

Swapping for a Vermeer chip would open the full 16x lanes of PCIe gen 4.0 if the motherboard supports it.
