Hi community!

Prologue:

It's time to send my ~15 year old system (ASUS P5QL/EPU with Intel Xeon X5460) to retirement. But don't buy a complete new system.

Only Mainboard, CPU and Memory. I think my graphic card (Radeon RX580 8GB) is enough for the next ~3 years. But don't play games many with

this system. Only for Hardware-/Software development and music production. So my choice is an Ryzen 9 5900X. Hope the processor

is enough for the next ~10 years.

Unfortunately I currently can't find a full specification. Please can somebody post the full feature set from the processor?

The output  on Linux as example with...

$ cat /proc/cpuinfo

...is enough for me.

5900x is love, and don’t forget AMD is releasing another 5900xt in July.  So you’ll have more options.  5900x is now 249.  No word on the xt price but I believe it’s a 16core?

when I get to my desktop I’ll grab Cupid.

I would wait for the 5900XT which will be having 16cores instead of 12, that could be good for content creation such as music production among other things like extending its life cycle.
