Hi there,

I would like your help for my build.
I recently bought a Ryzen 9 3900X CPU + Asus Rog Strix X570-E mobo.
I thought of getting this kit of ram : CMW64GX4M4C3200C16W (Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 4x16Go 3200 Mhz CL16).

Was wondering if you know if its compatible or not . If not, do you have any 64bg kit to recommend to me ?

I know Ryzen does not like 4 dimms but I have read some have 4 sticks and it works.

The best place to ask this question would be the ASUS ROG forums as all motherboards are different when it comes to RAM support.

Well, of course it would be but I havent been able to have access ... I created an account but still waiting for access ...
I also like to have different point of view and review so it s in my opinion a good thing to ask different people.

Be careful.
The Ryzen 3000 series processor memory controller does seem to be an improvement over the Ryzen 2000 series.
However.
If I were you I would make sure that Corsair Kit is verified for Ryzen processor and see what it says about Ram Compatibility for that motherboard.
First thing to go is to find the memory on the Corsair Web Site.

You should see this:

Select Motherboard and you should see a list of compatible memory as shown here:

You can use filters on the left hand column for Memory Capacity and Number of modules.
At first it looks like you may have tons of choice. But here is where you need to be careful.
On the lower left hand column there is "Compatibility"

You need to check that one and select X570.
Here is the list you get:

So it does not look like that kit you are after has been proven to be compatible with X570 motherboards according to that website.
The kit you want might work, but if you order it and it does not work and it is not on the above list, Corsair may well say bad luck.
Before you order anything from them, open an account with Corsair and open a support case and start a discussion with them. Make sure you get everything in writing before you order.

Next thing to look at.

The Asus Motherboard should have a list of supported RAM.

Having spoken with ASUS Customer Support in the past, the QVL list for DRAM is a list of DRAM that they have managed to test, and is a constantly updated document.
Just because RAM is not on the QVL does not mean it will not work, hoever, for an easy life, get some that is.

I hope that helps you out.

Again before ordering anything, make sure that you open an account and a support case with ASUS as well.

Same story - if you buy RAM that is not onm the QVL and hit problems, ASUS can say tough luck to you.

As I said though the Ryzen 3000 series memory compatibility seems better than the experience I had with Ryzen 2700X.
Note 64GB of RAM at 3200 MHz is just about at the limit for 2700X on any motherboard.

What is the difference between Matisse and Picasso list and which one should I take in consideration ?

I have spotted G.Skill F4-3600C16Q-64GTZNC DIMM 64 Go which are in the Matisse QVL twice but one say 4dimm ok the other say 2 dimm only .... Very confusing.

Hi,

No problem.

You need Matisse document which is codename for Zen 2 Desktop Processors such as your Ryzen 9 3900X.

Picasso is the name for AMD Mobile and Desktop APU's.
They include Ryzen CPU cores plus Vega based Graphics.

I've exactly the same problem but with a different Corsair Memory kit 4x16Gb. I've followed this thread and it has been very useful for me

I'm trying to RMA the memory and purchase a new one (this):

G-Skill F4-3200C16Q-64GTZN

But... I've a doubt:

If I click the ASUS QVL list (it doesn't appear)
