Ryzen 3400G -- MB -- ATX

a compatible MB (motherboard) with the AMD Ryzen 3400G (APU).

-VGA (d-sub)

VGA is now obsolete. If you need VGA you should consider a discrete card with that available as the APU does not have the signals needed.

Older cards with VGA are available on eBay and that would be my first choice.

for the moment i'm only interested in having a mb with vga and that
my philips vga display works. always if the ryzen 3400g is compatible.
I'm not interested in having a dedicated GPU for now

It will be rare to find a Motherboard that supports a 3rd generation Processor with a VGA video output. Your best best, in my opinion, is to purchase a very good HDMI/DP/DVI to VGA Active Adapter.

Cheaper to find an old video card which are abundant on eBay

According to the OP: "I'm not interested in having a dedicated GPU for now"

Yes, A dedicated GPU Card is likely to be superior to a APU, But I would consider several factors, off the top of my head,

1) Condition and quality of the Used GPU Card that still has a VGA Port. (wasn't used for mining or repaired in the past)

2) Does AMD still support the used GPU card with Driver updates

3) Is the GPU Card that much superior than a 3400g APU with the latest video features.

4) Does the computer have a PSU that will run the GPU card without power issues

5) Is it cheaper than $40.00 or less which a High Quality Active Adapter will cost.

From what I read, the 3400g is a good budget gaming iGPU. But a modern Discrete GPU card is better and more powerful.

So I guess it is up to the OP to decide what he wants to do.

Even the first gen AM4 boards such as the A320 do not have VGA on them

found one board on newegg

i know that a person managed to run a
2400g manually with a vga-vga cable so my
thought that the last generation is vga-compatible.
my question is always the same: is the 3400g compatible with the vga?
for now it remains the solution of the adapter that I find even at $ 10 active
so we save compared to a gpu that I don't need. I take the apu just to avoid buying a gpu.
