R9 7945HX Max Memory. Is it support 2x48GB?

My laptop has an R9 7945HX processor (Legion Pro 7). According to the information from the official AMD website (https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/laptop/ryzen/7000-series/amd-ryzen-9-7945hx.html), this processor supports two memory channels and a maximum memory capacity of 64GB. However, I am confused about whether the 64GB maximum refers to memory per slot or the combined capacity of two slots (e.g., 2x32GB). I am considering upgrading to 2x48GB. Could you please share your technical thoughts?

The max memory listed for the AMD 7945HX is 64GB total.

However you should ask Lenovo what the max memory is for the Legion Pro 7 because it could be less than the AMD supported capacity.

Hello @fktareq WakeID Portal ,
The maximum memory capacity of the R9 7945HX processor is 64GB in total. This means it refers to the combined capacity of the two slots (e.g., 2x32GB). Upgrading to 2x48GB would exceed the supported limit for this processor.

Best regards,
James Henry
