I'd say this is a pretty reliable source. Don't think this is of any surprise considering it was just a rebadged Radeon Instinct card, so AMD loses a lot of money on each one sold as a VII. Though in a typical design cycle products are EOLd after a year anyway, so it matters little that VII was EOLd so quickly.

Yes - this is hardly news is it?
They are still being sold and consumers are not being told that they purchase an EOLed GPU.
