Problem with RX 580 power led turning on and off

Hey guys, im looking for a bit of help. I have a rx 580 and the past week the light on top off the pci power plug has been turning on for a second or two and then off randomly but frequent enough for me to worry.

Started after a clean format

I got a new power supply to see if that was an issue. Went from 500w to 550w Corsair.

When the light turns on everything runs fine. My games still run i wouldn't even know apart from the led light hahaha.

It runs furmak for an hour+ fine.

I have reseated the gpu.

Is there anything i can try or should look for to know if it could be a software/driver bug?
Here is a photo Hwinfo. im not sure if the VDDCR should be peaking at 88A. ( light was off for the peak)

Blinking is in fact irregular power. But this is a bit vague.

I had a RoG Strix RX 480 that was really power hungry, unlike other models, 650 was the bare minimum to keep that light away from blinking.

You could power limit the card to something like 90% or atlleast lower the clocks, for troubleshooting purposes.

Good luck

Is there anything in the gpu manual discussing that led? Maybe it's finally working correctly and that shows it's powering down to save energy.  Maybe.

ASUS TUF X570 wifi, AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, ASRock 6700XT Challenger, Antec Truepower new 700w. 32GB

I have. it says always on means no power, off means good. blinking mean irregular power.

I have limited my power by -50% in AMD adrenalin, An hour in no light will continue to keep testing to make sure.

Im guessing i need a even bigger power supply?  so 650W next week.

edit: after 2 hours the light has blinked but the time between blinks has increased massively. insted of every 10-20 mins its once every hour or two if that

Is it a CX550 bronze? I have one, kinda sketchy...

Get a 750 Gold or bigger. Not only for the GPU but this way you will be ready for the next system upgrade. When That happens.

image.pngits a RX580. looks like this without the Gigabyte on the fans just the decal, due to my tec workplace getting items from leader (in auz) i got it cheep 3-4 years ago. i am getting an upgrade next fortnight.
just hoping to get some info for those with the same problem. (maybe help with mine)

it has done this before with the LED, but it was due to the games i was playing, now it dose it on idle

but changing the power % in amd has slowed the intervals of the LED.

best i can say for anyone else with a RX500 sires is
- have a minimum of 550W powerpack.
-lower your power inAMD -50% if needed most games work fine still. ( were already on low-mid settings for high FPS its a 2017 card)
-Reseat the card.
-change the pci plug (not need for new PCU)
-if there is no black screen and your gaming is not impacted and you can stress test it fine EG furmark for an hour or AMD stress test continue on gaming BUT.. save for a new card,  as a error light will always be in the back of your mind. also RX580 is $128 on amazon to replace still a bit for those that can't afford it

lastly i would love to thank you guys for all the help with this. its good to see even though its a card from 2017 you guys still come in and try to help with ideas and trouble shooting.
