Good afternoon

I have an ASUS PRIME X370-PRO motherboard. I also recently purchased an RX 6650XT graphics card. However, as you understand, my current R5 1600X processor is not enough to fully unleash the capabilities of this video card. Therefore, I want to take a new, more powerful processor in the region of $ 300. I am planning to buy Ryzen 5 5600x. And I have two questions:

1. I understand that it must be compatible with my motherboard and X370 chipset. But what restrictions will I get? 

2. Do you have better options for a new processor that would fit my motherboard within $300? I will be glad to listen to them.

3. What about SAM? As I have RX 6650XT and will have Ryzen 5000 CPU, will Smart Access Memory working perfectly as it should?

I had the same motherboard as you have, I had the most up to date bios and my Ryzen 7 3700x was not stable on it..

I had upgraded from a Ryzen 7 1700.. Which was rock solid on that board..

I worked out the VRM's were probably not up to running it properly, so I changed my mobo to match the CPU and haven't had any problems since..

It may well work ok for you with the latest bios, but personally I wouldn't use a 5000 series on x370.. It wasn't designed for those CPU's.. 

I have SAM enabled and it gives a nice little boost..
