Journeyman III

Momentary frame drops in some games:

PC specs:
All drivers and software are up to date.
MB: Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WIFI
CPU: 7800x3D (Max 65c during gameplay)
RAM: G-Skill 6000mhz DDR5 32gig
SSD: Kingston KC3000 2tb GC: 7900 xt (Max 72c during gameplay)

Example games with same issue:
Borderlands 3, A Plague Tale (2019), Euro Truck Simulator 2 (VR). Other games will show frame dips in loading screens, which is fine by me.

Description:
During gameplay the game will skip a frame or two for less then a second. Music and sound will continue as nothing has happened. The AMD frame counter will show 144fps down to 130fps.

Possible Solutions:
My guess is because the game is loading something in the background and I'm thinking of getting another M2 drive and load my games only from there.
-OR-
Is there a way to change a setting in the AMD software to make sure that the card runs at 'Best Performance' like the one NVidia has in its settings? This fixed the same issue which I had when I had a card from the green team.

Please let me know if you need any details. I will add the answers to this OP as well.
