System specs:
- CPU: 5600X (turbo up to 4.6GHz)
- GPU: 6600XT (SAM enabled)
- RAM: G.Skill Aegis 3000MHz CL16
For the Problem:
I get pretty low framerates in Minecraft. Without a shader, only on Optifine it's between 90 and 130FPS. Though once I turn on any shader it drops to 10-20FPS, with GPU and CPU utilization still being relatively low (2 CPU cores at 50-70% each, GPU also at 50-70%, without shaders about half). The system is generally well cooled and I run a 650W PSU so power and temps shouldn't be an issue.
Currently playing on 1.18 with maxed settings and VSync off.
I've tried overclocking CPU/RAM/GPU but that doesn't solve the FPS issue and drives utilization even lower.
A friend of mine has the same system but with a 2080 Super inside and easily gets over 144FPS with a shader and maxed graphics, which confuses me even more.
Has anybody experienced this or happens to know a possible fix?
