I updated AMD software today, 24.10.1. Normally I have a 5120x1440 resolution. After the update, I was looking at my game specs. I noticed it said "Use global Experience (Default)" and I clicked the drop down, there are a few options; performance, quality, etc. I selected "Performance" for one of my games and it automatically changed my current aspect ratio to 3840 x 1080. After doing this I went into my system display settings and tried to change it back to 5120 but it no longer is an option. I messed around with some settings, restarted my computer. And kept trying to just reopen the settings. Eventually it actually came back, the option for 5120, so I changed it back.
Just to make sure I wasn't crazy, or because I am crazy, I tried it again. I changed the games setting to "Performance" it swapped my display back to 3840, and removed the options for greater aspect. I restarted and have been reopening the system display settings but I can no longer get 5120 back.
The game that I changed this setting on, runs fine in 5120x1440, I understand that some games don't but it shouldn't change my current setting for this optimization. (?)
I have a Radeon RX 6600 XT
I'm also using a Samsung Neo G9
