This AMD VR Support page gives the basic requirements and equipment and hardware to use AMD VR:https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/vr-ready-premium
From the link above shows the Premium GPU Cards to use with VR:
Check the specs on the RX550 and see if it has the proper HDMI or DisplayPort versions. Also check to see if your motherboard has the correct USB Port versions and at least 8 gbytes of RAM Memory installed a compatible or higher Ryzen 1500X Processor.
Mentions three Oculus Rift and VIVE and Windows VR. But I know other Users have used other brands that have worked: https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/vr
From AMD Support concerning the RX 550X Specs:https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/radeon-rx-550x
But under Supported Technologies it doesn't mention VR Support but for the RX580 it does: https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/radeon-rx-580
You can always open a AMD Support ticket and ask them to verify the above information from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form
EDIT: I forgot that you can run Windows Mixed Reality (VR) which can check to see if your hardware is compatible and able to run Windows 10 Mixed Reality feature.
