Is the RX 5500 XT that bad?

I am on a lot of other forums mostly to read what the concerns of the day are.

I ran across some comments about the RX 5500 XT which is an entry level card in my opinion

comments about it  only being PCIe x8 lanes wide brought some criticism but I have seen many cards like that and this is not a negative it is simply a design choice based on the real needs

other comments over the 4GB of VRAM are also unwarranted as the RX 5500 XT is being sold to the 1920x1080 market, not the 2560x1440 or 3820x2160 markets

For entry level gaming the RX 5500 XT can do ok for a 1920x1080 based setup which is still very mainstream.

I have 24GB of main memory which is also more than most have. I play at 3820x2160 so my choices are influenced by my LG panels abilities. My RX 480 runs with x8 lanes and it is not hurting.
