Is the 5950x worth $70 over the 5900x?

I missed the 5800x3d boat and now I've missed the 5700x3d run. Then I realized I rarely game anymore and when I do its 4k on my projector. I mostly use this PC for web browsing and 3d modeling and occasional 4k gaming. This is the end game upgrade for this PC. The 5900x seems like it would suit my needs but the 5950x is top of the game for AM4. Just not sure I would use all those cores.

Here is my setup now

Back when I got my 5950X, I was doing this same debate with the 5900x. Finally I just said heck with it, might as well go out with a bang on AM4. Went with the 5950X after they both went on sale. Always will have plenty of CPU power, I rarely fully use it to its full potential, but knowing I have the horsepower of 16 cores 32 threads, I know I can do a bunch of things and never have a slowdown. I am sticking with AM4 for a while yet, sure the newer stuff is faster, maybe once a cpu comes out that has 60% to 70% uplift over the 5950X or it gets obsolete for some reason I will finally move on from it. Get the 5950x, you won't regret it.

The 5950X is still no slouch to this day. Check 5900XT prices as it has 16core as well but with less 100mhz. Could be worth it price wise.
