Is an upgrade from i3 1200f to ryzen 5700x3d worth it?

I have an rx 6600 paired with intel i3 12th gen and 16 gb of ram. Will i see improvement if i switch to the ryzen 7 5700x3d? Or is there a better alternative in the same price range? I was also wondering if it's good for future gpu upgrades as i will switch my gpu in about 1 or 2 months when i save a little more money.

This website compares FPS & Bottlenecking of various Combinations of CPU and GPU and RAM installed: FPS & Bottleneck Calculator

Unfortunately, the above link doesn't have the exact CPU model you posted only the Intel i3-12100 and Ryzen 7 5700x to compare with your GPU card and RAM installed.

You can google other similar websites that may include all your exact Model hardware to see if it makes a good pairing or not.

Upgrading to the Ryzen 7 5700X3D would likely provide a significant performance boost, especially in CPU-heavy tasks and gaming, due to its additional cache and architectural improvements compared to the Intel i3 12th gen. However, if you're planning a GPU upgrade soon, the performance improvement might be bottlenecked by your current RX 6600, so the overall impact on gaming might be limited until you upgrade the GPU.

For alternatives in a similar price range, you could also consider other Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 models or Intel's 12th gen i5 or i7 processors, depending on availability and pricing. If you're future-proofing for a more powerful GPU, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D would be a solid choice, as it should pair well with high-end GPUs.
