International warranty

If a friend of mine buys an AMD processor in USA from amazon.com or bestbuy.com or microcenter and gets it to India for me to use will the product have international warranty?

If your friend was the original owner and purchaser of the AMD Processor you won't have a AMD Warranty only your friend who purchased the processor will be elegible for the AMD Warranty.

AMD Warranty is not transferable to another owner. But if you were to purchase the processor yourself and with a valid Retail Receipt showing the date of purchase and you as the purchaser you will be elegible for the AMD Warranty in India, as long as there aren't any Indian Laws that would void your AMD Warranty.

So basically if your AMD Processor needs to be RMAed under AMD Warranty you would need to ship it to your friend and have your friend open a AMD Warranty ticket to have the processor replaced or checked.
