Intel DG-1 benchmarked on 3DMark Firestrike - 53% faster than Ryzen 4800U

This is quite interesting. While not overly impressive in the scheme of things, it does thrash the 4800U, and they do target the same market, the 15-25w notebooks, and it shows how imperative it is that AMD's RDNA2 must succeed, and RTG must continue to press R&D.

The Ryzen 4800U result is from Notebookcheck's article on it's Physics score.

It is pretty impressive how far the Intel graphics have come over the past couple years. While they still have a ways to go speed wise, I have been impressed by how well their drivers have worked to. A lot of older AAA titles are now fully playable on the integrated graphics finally.

Aye. On my Surface Pro 3 with Intel HD 5000 graphics it couldn't even handle Microsoft Solitaire, the Windows 10 version, without stuttering, which is pretty crazy since its graphics aren't anything near demanding. And it is a good thing seeing the more demanding older games being able to be playable smoothly on IGPs these days, especially since some of those games are starting to be re-released, like Halo and the upcoming C&C Remastered Collection, plus GoG is full of classics like FEAR, Neverwinter Nights, STALKER, Fallout, and a host of others which are as fun to play today as they were when they were released.

The stronger the IGPs get the better battery life will get too since it can be used rather than a dedicated card, and the cheaper a laptop will get too since it doesn't need a dedicated card, and that's going to be key for AMD's reentry into the mobile market space.

Solitaire run on far less resources than a surface 3

sounds like you need to reset windows to regain performance
