Hello!
I have an old system, an Athlon 3000G, which I used for mining in the past but later became unused. I used RTX 2060 series graphics cards with this system for mining. After selling my graphics cards, I haven't used the computer at all. Recently, when I tried to power on the system, I couldn't get any display output. My motherboard is Asus Prime A320M-F, I have 8GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, and a 650+ W PSU. I purchased a new SSD, but I can't access the BIOS screen as I don't get any display output. I have also tried resetting the CMOS jumper and removing the BIOS battery. There doesn't seem to be any visible damage to my motherboard, and when I tested it with another system, it was confirmed to be working. I also tested my CPU in another system and was able to get display output from the APU. I bought new RAM, and it is also working fine. However, when I combine all these components, I still can't get any display output. Even when I initially had the RX6600 card installed, I couldn't get any display output, but later I could with the RTX 2060. I don't know why this is happening. Currently, I don't have any external graphics card that I can install, and I have seen a few forum posts suggesting trying with an NVIDIA card to access the BIOS. However, I don't have that option. Is there anyone who can suggest a solution to this issue? Why doesn't this system work with the APU? Shouldn't it automatically switch? I would appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thank you very much in advance!
Since that board may not have a troubleshooting leds, do you have access to a speaker like this?
Plug one to the board and listen carefully for the beeping sounds, short and long. It will tell you whats wrong.
I just found that item on my country and ordered it. When it arrives I will try. Let me ask another question then, what should I understand on the beeping sounds? Or how can I?
Try connecting your TV set to the correct Motherboard output to see if you get video output to the TV set instead of your Monitor.
I have an LG monitor that has no output until Windows starts loading than I have output. But I do have output to my Samsung Smart TV set so I am able to enter BIOS using my TV set instead of my LG Monitor.
If you did a CLEAR CMOS and put BIOS back to factory defaults then your IGPU should be the main Display Adapter in BIOS and should have video output. But if BIOS setting is set to "Auto" which it most likely is, the moment you install a GPU Card, BIOS will automatically make the GPU card the Main Display Adapter in BIOS.
This Asus Support site explains what all the Beep codes indicate when you install the PC Speaker mentioned by JohnnyEnglish: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1029959/
They should, instead of a post beep, do a series of short and long beeps.
Then look it up online, there are lots of sites with the information
