I know this is an AMD subreddit and it might be bias? But I really want to know what do you guys honestly think. I am upgrading from an GTX 1070 with a 5600x. I think it's struggling to do 3 monitor atm, as it always freezes and and stuff when I stream and also bsod sometimes with gpu issue it seems. So I was wondering if at the current price is actually worth it? I do video editting and stuff too, I'm not sure if the "aging like fine wine" thing will make it worth it later.

with 2 m.2 ssd 2 external 2 regular SSD

I thought that I wouldn't need to upgrade for a long while if I get a 7900 xtx for 1400 Canadian Dollar... maybe i'm wrong? Just want some opinions. I kinda don't trust used gpu so that's why i'm thinking of a new gpu, I know a lot of ppl might say to buy a used 3080 but I am concern that it might be from a crypto rigg, I will feel easier if it has warranty lol.

I was just checking the specs on the 7900 xtx and the first thing I noticed is that a new PSU will be "REQUIRED".  I think a new PSU is also going to be required no matter what GPU upgrade you select. and possibly even a new motherboard.

Here are just 2 specs to compare with the 7900 xtx and the PRO W7900;

1. 7900 xtx max RAM 24GB; W7900 48GB
2. Monitor support;  7900 xtx was not specified;  W7900 4 x 4K or 2 x 6 or 1 x 8K or 1 x 12K

However the W7900 comes with a $4,000+ price tag.  You might check out some of the PRO series cards specs and prices.  Honestly for your use, I would recommend the PRO series cards. 

Logon onto the AMD web site and check out the specs on the W6800 and see how that fits your needs. 

New Egg has a W6800 for $1,600.  The major difference here is it has the RDNA 2 instead of the RDNA 3.  Has 32GB GDDR6 with support for your monitors.

I've installed two of the 7900XT video cards in recent builds and they work fine for me.  I paid $700 for the last one, so there are deals out there.  I could never see spending $1500 on a video card personally.  If you go with a 7900XTX level video card, you might as well upgrade the PSU, CPU and other things as well.

stray away from corsair PSU's they're pc killers. 

5600x is good, but it'll be your major bottleneck while upgrading to 7900xtx. however the 5600x will hold up even for 4k gaming. my brother owns one and loves it. i'm 4k gaming on a 2700x which handles 4k gaming FAR better than the (hardware comparison/reviews) videos suggests it does. 

if you're not going to be gaming in 4k then get a 7700xt. 7700xt will be able to handle even 1440p with ease (even will handle 4k). i have a 6700xt and can record 4k videos on games (high settings, without ray tracing) 

games included are, metro exxodus, dying light 2, dirt rally (on max), dirt 4 (on max) mw2 remastered 4k using frs with ray tracing on (so max) don't sleep on the 7700xt's they're extremely good and affordable.  even a 6700xt is a monsterous upgrade.

I ran the Thermaltake RGB Smart 500wtt 80 Plus in my wife's setup a while back .. hot garbage power supply

I have a dead EVGA 600wtt 80 plus sitting in my office

..another setup I had ran the EVGA GQ 850wtt 80+ Gold .. that's been a great power supply

I had 3 PSU blowing up on me, the first two took along some components in the process.

The last, the Corsair RMx blew up in style but did not damaged anything.

There are several models, from CX, VX, RM, HX, AX and so on. Don't stick with the basic tiers as they don't provide enough protection in my experience.

To baffle me more, Corsair honored the warranty after 7 years and sent me a new one free of charge.

i would of gave that thing away for free. i rather use a nameless chinese brand than a corsair PSU. i had in my old rig set up with a nameless chinese that knew to not push out it's max watts, so even though it was a 1000w it didn't push out that unless it needed it. and that's from some cheap ebay purchase for $40. the rig had a 450w corsair in it (when i got it), and i upgraded from a 270x fury to a 390 and needed what i was told a 750w psu, so i just got a cheapo 1000w and called it. (it ran great while it was in use) sadly with the new pc/ mobo and cpu/gpu i needed a new PSU and i had a option for a $20 750 corsair or a $100 EVGA 1000 gold modular (from a friend). i didn't even hesitate. i took the EVGA without even second guessing. there was 0% chance i'd accept anything power related with the name corsair on it.

I still use mine in a secondary rig, its running peachy. Also have a CX around, this last one can be a bit shady but works none the less.

I can't say anything wrong about corsair, everything I had worked generally great and when something went wrong, customer support was amazing.

However, due to a theme build, at this time in the main rig I use RoG PSU (Seasonic) with 12 years warranty.

For your current setup .. 

Update your motherboard's BIOS to latest

Make sure you have the latest AM4 chipset drivers installed from AMD.com support website

Run DDU and remove all past/present GPU drivers ... reboot .. then install latest drivers from Nvidia.com for your GPU
