The website is now up, and these are the verification questions. You will have had to purchased an FX-8000 and/or FX-9000 series processor and either have been a resident of California OR have visited the product pages on AMD's website, and read the specifications which included the fact that AMD stated it has 8 CORES (which it still does, I had an 8350 and so I excerpted below), then bought your processor anywhere.

They don't ask for receipts or serial numbers? Crazy...
That's the way most class action suits are, and why the payouts are often so small, at least for the affected as the lawyers take a huge cut. Could be worse, the Equifax breach had so many claims that people will be lucky to get more than $10, and the Starkist settlement paid out a whopping $5 per person.
There was a class action lawsuit against sony many years ago for faulty lcd panels. The people could file without receipts and get a small amount. Those of us with our documentation got a lot more back. I got like 850 bucks back on that one. Still got the short end on TV that shot craps after 13 months that they would not stand behind that I still had to make payments on for another year. So I laughed all the way to the bank a few years later when that suit came out and I actually got some justice.
Many of the media that reported on the details of the settlement said that you had to have purchased your processors in California or from AMD's website. I hope this isn't true. Everybody in the United States should be eligible for some of the settlement money. Hey, I wanted to ask, is the FX-8320E eligible? I didn't purchase the Black Edition FX-8320 but they technically have the same architecture and still in the same FX-8320 class. Your thoughts? Thanks in advance!!
Just an update to say the checks have been issued, I received mine today in the amount of $30.42. Too bad it wasn't more.
